LITHUANIA’S AMBASSADOR PRESENTED CREDENTIALS TO THE KING OF SPAIN
On 18 March, Lithuania’s Ambassador to Spain Audra Plepytė Jara presented credentials to King Juan Carlos I of Spain.
During the conversation that followed the solemn ceremony, the King of Spain recalled his visit to Lithuania in May 2009 and the warmth that he had received from the Lithuanian people. It was agreed to make further effort to strengthen relations between the Spanish and the Lithuanian people, especially promoting tourism, student and cultural exchange.
During the conversation, Ambassador A.Plepytė Jara emphasized the necessity to strengthen cooperation between Spain and Lithuania, especially in the areas that are important to both countries: energy, transport and renewable energy resources.
