Lithuanian of Foreign Affairs expressed condolences on the tragic attack in Berlin
Linas Linkevičius, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, has expressed condolences on the tragic attack where 12 people were killed and over 50 were injured when a truck drove into a crowd of people at the Christmas Market in Berlin.
Mr Linkevičius says that Germany is one of the most important Lithuanian partners and we stand in solidarity with Germany in its fight against terrorism and any manifestation of hatred.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has no information about any citizens of the Republic of Lithuania who might have been affected in the horrific event in Berlin.
The Lithuanian Embassy in the Federal Republic of Germany has contacted and maintains ties with the competent institutions there.
