LITHUANIAN MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS WELCOMES THE SIGNING OF THE BILATERAL LATVIAN-RUSSIAN BORDER AGREEMENT

Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes the bilateral Latvian-Russian border agreement signed on 27 March in Moscow. It is an important step in the strengthening of Latvian-Russian relations, as well as developing multilateral cooperation in the region.

Lithuania hopes that the procedures necessary for of this agreement to come into force will be carried out in the nearest future helping to solve more effectively border traffic capacity, cross-border cooperation and other issues important to the whole region.
