LITHUANIAN MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS PROMOTES LITHUANIAN-TURKISH BUSINESS RELATIONS
On 9-11 April, Turkish Foreign Trade Undersecretary Ulker Guzel and the accompanying delegation of businessmen representing thirteen Turkish companies, who are searching for Lithuanian partners, are visiting in Lithuania. Among them there are representatives from construction, tourism, real estate, transport and logistics organisations.
Meetings of the Turkish representatives with State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Deividas Matulionis, Vice-minister of Economy Vytautas Naudužas, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications Alminas Mačiulis are planned in the visit program.
During the meetings, the bilateral Lithuanian-Turkish relations will be discussed. The guests will also take part in the TransBaltica exhibition, which is hosted by the Exhibition Centre LITEXPO. They are also planning to visit the Klaipėda State Seaport Authority and Klaipėda Free Economic Zone.
On 9 April, the delegation of Turkey will participate in a business and cooperation seminar in the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania. Later, in the Ministry of Economy, at the contact fair, Turkish businessmen will meet with representatives from fifteen Lithuanian companies, representing the sectors of trade, tourism, construction, real estate, transportation and logistics. Representatives from the Lithuanian Development Agency LEPA and ‘Investment House’ company will inform the delegation about possibilities of business development and investment in our country.
The goal of this visit is to promote the strengthening economic cooperation between Lithuania and Turkey, and to analyse the possibilities of business and Lithuanian-Turkish mutual investment growth.
The visit of the official Turkish delegation in Lithuania was organized by the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The program of the Lithuanian-Turkish businessmen was prepared by the International Chamber of Commerce ICC Lithuania.
