LITHUANIAN MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS EXTENDS CONDOLENCES REGARDING THE TRAGIC DEATH OF THE CZECH DIPLOMAT
On 24 September while taking part in the 63rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Petras Vaitiekūnas extended condolences regarding the tragic death of Czech Ambassador Ivo Zdarek, who was killed during a terrorist bombing in Islamabad. Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs paid a visit to the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in New York and signed in the Book of Condolences. The Minister extended his heartfelt condolences to the people of the Czech Republic and Ambassador Zdarek’s family, indicating that the Czech diplomat sacrificed his own life in the fight for freedom and democratic values.
