LITHUANIAN MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS EXTENDED CONDOLENCE OVER THE DEATH OF THE FORMER POLISH FOREIGN MINISTER

On 6 February, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Petras Vaitiekūnas sent a letter to Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, in which he extended condolence over the death of the former Polish Foreign Minister and diplomat Stefan Meller.

 ‘Lithuania highly estimates the input of the former Polish Foreign Minister into the development of strategic partnership between our countries,’ says the Minister in his letter of condolence.

S.Meller was Polish Ambassador to France and Russia. From 2005 to 2006 he was Polish Foreign Minister. S.Meller was Doctor and Humanities Professor. He was fluent in French, English, German and Russian.
