LITHUANIAN MFA HOSTS A SEMINAR ON THE PERSIAN GULF COUNTRIES
On 15 October, more than a hundred businessmen, travellers and students attended the seminar entitled “Arab States of the Persian Gulf: a Multifaceted Socio-Cultural Environment” at the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The participants aimed to deepen their knowledge about the Persian Gulf region and to share their experiences.
Participants of the seminar sought to answer such questions like what one has to know when planning to start a business in this region, what opportunities it can offer and what challenges await one when communicating with the local population of the Arab Gulf countries.At the seminar, participants also reviewed Lithuanian diplomatic relations with the countries of Persian Gulf region and tendencies in economic relations. They focused on the cultural knowledge of the region, and on the presentation of cultural behaviour and business culture.
Arab States of the Persian Gulf - Bahrain, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Oman - have a long history, rich natural resources and a unique culture.
This seminar is one of the cognitive seminars that the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has organized on the countries of Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin American.
