LITHUANIAN HONORARY CONSULS TO GATHER IN VILNIUS

On September 11-13, 2001 the corps of honorary consuls of the Republic of Lithuania will hold a meeting in Vilnius for the first time since the regaining of independence in 1990. 67 honorary consuls from 40 countries will participate in the event. The participants will learn more about Lithuania's interior and foreign policy, economy and culture, and share their experience about the cooperation with the Foreign Ministry and other Lithuanian state institutions as well as discuss their plans for the future. The participants will be met by the Prime Minister Algirdas Brazauskas, Foreign Minister Antanas Valionis, Mayor of Vilnius Artūras Zuokas and Mayor of Kaunas Erikas Tamašauskas.
