LITHUANIAN FOREIGN VICE-MINISTER WELCOMES THE NEW COLOMBIAN AMBASSADOR

On 4 June, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Neris Germanas received the new Colombian Ambassador to Lithuania Victoria González Ariza, who presented her letters of credence to the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė. Victoria González Ariza is the 5th Colombian Ambassador accredited to Lithuania. The Ambassador resides in Warsaw.

The meeting focused on the promotion of bilateral economic and political relations, and the possibility to organize a business forum, during which Lithuanian businessmen would explore investment opportunities available in Colombia. During the meeting, officials also discussed prospects and opportunities for the bilateral cooperation in the fields of culture and education.

Lithuania and Colombia re-established diplomatic relations on 5 August 1993.
