LITHUANIAN FOREIGN VICE-MINISTER PRESENTS THE EXEQUATUR TO UKRAINIAN HONORARY CONSUL IN KLAIPĖDA

In a solemn ceremony at the Ukrainian Embassy on 22 November in Vilnius, Lithuanian Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Evaldas Ignatavičius presented the Exequatur to the Ukrainian Honorary Consul in Klaipėda Genius Vygantas.

For some time, there were no Honorary Consuls of Ukraine in Lithuania. Therefore, the appointment of an Honorary Consul in Klaipėda should intensify bilateral trade, economic and cultural ties.

Currently, six Lithuanian Honorary Consuls work in Ukraine, namely in Lviv, Simferopol, Kherson, Odessa, Uzhgorod and Zhitomir.

Honorary Consuls exercise their consular functions in accordance with international agreements, agreements with the host country and legislation in force in the state, and promote friendly bilateral relations.
