Lithuanian Foreign Vice-Minister meets with Turkey’s new Ambassador to discuss intensifying bilateral economic and political relations
On 30 June in Vilnius, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Neris Germanas met with Turkey’s new Ambassador to Lithuania Aydan Yamancan, who presented her letters of credence to the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė.
The meeting focused on close and multifaceted bilateral cooperation. The officials highlighted intensifying economic relations and Lithuania’s support for Turkey’s accession negotiations, as well as perspectives of further bilateral and multilateral cooperation within international organizations.
The Ambassador Aydan Yamancan is a career diplomat. Prior to her current appointment, she served in Turkey’s representations in Poland, the Czech Republic, Israel and Germany.
