LITHUANIAN FOREIGN VICE-MINISTER MEETS WITH AMBASSADOR OF CHILE TO DISCUSS COOPERATION WITHIN THE UNITED NATIONS

On 22 November in Vilnius, the Lithuanian Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Vytautas Leškevičius held a meeting with the Ambassador of Chile to Lithuania Juan Salazar Sparks. The meeting focused on bilateral relations, joint cultural projects, and cooperation within the United Nations - Lithuania and Chile were elected as non-permanent members of the UN Security Council or the 2014-2015 term.

During the visit to Lithuania, Chile’s Ambassador also met with the Minister of Culture Šarūnas Birutis, the Acting Rector of Vilnius University Jūras Banys, and the Director General of the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts Rimantas Šidlauskas.

The Ambassador of Chile to Lithuania Juan Salazar Sparks resides in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark.

Lithuania re-established its diplomatic relations with Chile on 5 December 1991.
