LITHUANIAN FOREIGN VICE-MINISTER AND THE OUTGOING AMBASSADOR OF KUWAIT DISCUSS PROSPECTS FOR BILATERAL RELATIONS

At the meeting with the outgoing Ambassador of Kuwait to Lithuania Musaed Al-Haroun on 16 July in Vilnius, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Neris Germanas stressed the need to step up the bilateral relationship. “Lithuania and Kuwait are similar in terms of territory and population. The countries have lots of potential to develop mutually beneficial economic cooperation, exchange knowledge and expertise in the region, and to cooperate in the fields of education and science,” Germanas said.

The meeting also discussed the situation in Egypt, Syria and other countries in the region.

Lithuania and Kuwait established their diplomatic relations on 5 April 1994. The Ambassador of Kuwait to Lithuania Musaed Al-Haroun resides in Berlin. The fourth Ambassador of Kuwait was accredited to Lithuania in 2010.
