LITHUANIAN FOREIGN VICE-MINISTER AND THE NEW ESTONIAN AMBASSADOR DISCUSS TOPICAL ISSUES OF BILATERAL RELATIONS

On 18 September in Vilnius, Lithuanian Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Egidijus Meilūnas and the new Ambassador of Estonia to Lithuania Toomas Kukk discussed bilateral cooperation and regional partnership.

 The Vice-Minister and Ambassador also discussed important regional issues which are being addressed as Lithuania chairs the Baltic Council of Ministers and coordinates the Nordic Baltic Eight (NB8) cooperation.

The Vice-Minister and the Ambassador also touched upon Lithuania’s readiness to hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2013.

Estonia is Lithuania’s fifth largest export partner. During the first half of 2012, Lithuania exported to Estonia goods worth 2368.83 million Litas.
