LITHUANIAN FOREIGN VICE-MINISTER AND SLOVENIA’S NEW AMBASSADOR DISCUSS EU COUNCIL PRESIDENCY, BILATERAL COOPERATION

On 26 November, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Andrius Krivas and the new Ambassador of Slovenia to Lithuania Tone Kajzer, who is visiting Vilnius, discussed the Lithuanian EU Presidency’s agenda and prospects for bilateral cooperation.

The Lithuanian Foreign Vice-Minister acquainted the Ambassador with Lithuania’s Presidency of the EU Council and future objectives. A.Krivas noted that the 3rd Eastern Partnership Summit this week was one of the most important events of the Presidency and it was expected that Slovenia would participate at the highest political level. T.Kajzer affirmed that Slovenia would be represented by the Slovenian Prime Minister Alenka Bratušek.

The Lithuanian and Slovenian diplomats discussed possibilities for enhanced political dialogue and hailed the strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Ambassador of Slovenia T.Kajzer presented his letters of credence to the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė on 25 November 2013.
