LITHUANIAN FOREIGN VICE-MINISTER AND PALESTINIAN REPRESENTATIVES DISCUSS BILATERAL RELATIONS, MIDDLE EAST PEACE PROCESS
On 2 September in Vilnius, the Lithuanian Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Neris Germanas met with the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Palestinian National Authority led by the Ambassador Amal Jadou, Assistant Minister for European Affairs. The meeting focused on the Lithuanian-Palestinian bilateral cooperation and future prospects. The officials also discussed the Middle East peace process and the latest developments in the Middle East.
The Palestinian delegation took part in the first bilateral political consultations between Lithuania and the Palestinian National Authority, which the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry organised in accordance with the 2010 Memorandum of Mutual Understanding on holding political consultations between the Foreign Ministries.
The Palestinian delegation also met with representatives of the President, the Seimas (Parliament), and the Office of the Government.
