Lithuanian Foreign Ministry’s statement on terrorist attacks in Egypt
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania strongly condemns the brutal attacks on the Coptic Christian community in Alexandria and Tanta that have targeted the lives of innocent people and injured dozens.
We extend our deepest condolences to the families and the loved ones of the victims, and we wish them strength.
Lithuania supports the fight of Egypt and the international community against international terrorism and confirms its willingness to jointly overcome the challenges of terrorism.
On Monday, 10 April, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius sent a condolence letter to the Foreign Minister of Egypt Sameh Shoukry. In the letter, Linkevičius strongly condemns the brutal Islamic State attacks and extends his deepest sympathies to the relatives of the victims.
