Lithuanian Foreign Minister to pay a working visit to the United States

On 24-30 April, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius will be paying a working visit to the United States: Washington, D.C., Arizona and Nevada.

In Washington, D.C., L.Linkevičiaus will hold meetings with the Deputy Secretary of State William Burns, the Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs Ed Royce and other high-ranking officials from the National Security Council and the Department of Defence.

The meetings will discuss relevant issues related to the U.S. presence in the region, the situation in Ukraine, energy security, as well as important issues on the transatlantic agenda, bilateral relations between Lithuania and the U.S.

At the Atlantic Council Conference marking the 10th anniversary of NATO enlargement, L.Linkevičius will take part in a discussion on Europe’s security and future. He will meet with representatives from the U.S. foreign policy research centres and journalists. In Arizona, the Lithuanian Foreign Minister will attend the Sedona Forum of the McCain Institute for International Leadership. In Nevada, he will take part in celebrations of Europe Day.
