LITHUANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER PARTICIPATES IN NATO-UKRAINE COMMISSION MEETING

Lithuania together with NATO Member States is ready to develop further cooperation with Ukraine and to pursue the Alliance’s policy supporting Ukraine’s choice of Euro-Atlantic integration. This was stated by Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Antanas Valionis at the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission, where the foreign ministers of the seven countries invited to join NATO participated for the first time. At the NATO-Ukraine Commission meeting, Minister Valionis also underlined that Lithuania actively developed relations with Ukraine through cooperation on various levels and establishment of common institutions. On the same day, the meeting of Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council took place, where measures to support democratic processes in partner countries and the role of the Partnership in fighting new threats were discussed.
