LITHUANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER PAID TRIBUTE TO LITHUANIAN POLITICAL PRISONERS

On 12 December the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Daniyal Akhmetov received Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Antanas Valionis. The parties discussed Kazakhstan’s intention to purchase „Mažeikių naftą“ and Kazakhstan’s oil supply guarantees in case „KazMunayGaz“ wins the tender.

Lithuanian Foreign Minister also offered to evolve cooperation in transport sphere in order to provide better opportunities to ship goods from Kazakhstan through Klaipėda sea port.

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan asked Lithuania to support Kazakhstan’s objectives to seek for close economic cooperation with the European Union, to enter its market through investment and development of trade relations.

The delegation led by Lithuanian Foreign Minister Antanas Valionis together with the delegation led by the chairman of Polish Senate Bogdan Borusewicz visited Karaganda. The heads of the delegations laid wreaths by the monuments to Lithuanian and Polish political prisoners, who were imprisoned and died in Spassk camp.
