LITHUANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER OPENS THE EXHIBITION OF M.K.ČIURLIONIS IN YEREVAN
On 17 March at the National Gallery of Armenia, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis opened the art exhibition of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis on the occasion of the Day of Re-establishment of the Independence of Lithuania and dedicated to the 100th death anniversary of M.K.Čiurlionis.
During the event, Armenian pianist Armine Grigorian performed M.K.Čiurlionis’s compositions for piano.Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian, foreign diplomats, members of the Lithuanian community in Armenia, and other guests also attended the concert.
The exhibition was presented by artist Dalia Stoškutė, who lives in Yerevan.
This year, Lithuania and Armenia mark the twentieth anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic relations.
Reproductions of art works by M.K.Čiurlionis will be exhibited at the National Gallery of Armenia until 31 March. As agreed with the administration of the National Gallery of Armenia, members of the Lithuanian community in Armenia will be able to see the exhibition free of charge.
