LITHUANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER GREETS LITHUANIAN PERFORMERS ON THEIR RETURN FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD TO TAKE PART IN THE FESTIVAL

An International Music Festival “Sugrįžimai” (The Returns) starts on 24 March in Vilnius. Lithuanian musicians, who live and work abroad, will perform at the festival and, thus, will embody the idea of Global Lithuania, reads the welcoming letter of Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis to the participants of the festival.According to the Minister, the festival confirms that every world Lithuanian, when launching himself on a professional career, may contribute to the creation of prosperity in Lithuania and to the promotion of the country’s name.

“Wherever we live, we all can engage in Lithuania’s life: political, economic, cultural or social. This evening, thanks to the “Sugrįžimai”, we are witnessing live how the idea of Global Lithuania once again becomes reality,” Director of the Department of Lithuanians Living Abroad of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Arvydas Daunoravičius said when conveying the greetings of the Lithuanian Foreign Minister to the participants of the festival.

A.Daunoravičius reads the Minister’s welcoming letter The programme of the 13th International Music Festival, which is supported by the Lithuanian Musicians’ Foundation, includes performances of musicians from Germany, South Africa, Switzerland, Thailand, the U.S.A, and other countries. The festival is financially supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Music fans will be able to enjoy the “Sugrįžimai” concerts until 12 May.
