On 21 August, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Antanas Valionis sent letters of condolence to the Foreign Ministers of two countries, which suffered from high floods – the Czech Republic and Austria.
The letter to the head of the Czech diplomacy Cyril Svoboda advices of the Lithuanian Government’s decision to donate the Czech Republic LTL 50,000 from the Government’s reserve fund and a batch of disinfectants to the amount of approximately LTL 50,000 from the Ministry of Health’s Extreme Health-Hazardous Situations Reserve.
The Lithuanian Foreign Minister also sent condolences in a letter to Austrian Foreign Minister Benita Ferrero Waldner.
