LITHUANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER EXPRESSES CONDOLENCES TO RUSSIA OVER PLANE CRASH TRAGEDY
On 22 June, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis expressed condolences to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Igor Levitin, Russian Transport Minister and Russian Co-Chairman of the Lithuanian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission, over a plane crash near Petrozavodsk.
“We are deeply shocked by the news of the tragic aviation accident. Allow me to express my sincere condolences to the victims and their families, the people of Russia and the Government of the country in this hour of sorrow,” A.Ažubalis’s condolence letter reads.The RusAir Tu-134 crashed on 21 June before midnight near Petrozavodsk, 44 people on board died in the crash.
