Lithuanian Foreign Minister expresses condolences to his Italian colleague
Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius sent a letter to Paolo Gentiloni, Italian Minister for Foreign Affairs, in which he expressed his condolences to the people of Italy and families of the victims killed in the tragic train crash in Italy.
‘May I express my heartfelt condolences to families of the victims and communicate the solidarity of the people of Lithuania with Italian people in this hour of loss and grief,’– Mr. Linkevičius wrote in his letter.
More than 20 people died and dozens were injured on July 12, when two passenger trains collided head-on at high speed in the southeastern Puglia region of Italy.
