LITHUANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER EXPRESSES CONDOLENCES OVER ISRAELI FIRE VICTIMS

Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis expressed his condolences to Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman and to the people of the country over the fire victims.

Lithuania is deeply shocked at the recent natural disaster in Israel. I would like to express my sincere condolences to the families of the people, who perished or were injured as a result of the fires,” Minister’s letter reads.

On 2 December, at least 40 people were killed in a fire raging around the northern Israeli city of Haifa.

Israel has asked for international aid to help battle the fire. Israeli officials announced that this was the worst fire in Israel’s history.
