LITHUANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER CONGRATULATES LATVIA ON INDEPENDENCE DAY

On 4 May, the Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius congratulated Latvia on Independence Day.
“On the occasion of the Restoration of Independence Day, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations and to convey to you and the people of Latvia the best wishes for success and fruitful work for the sake of your country,” Linkevičius wrote.
He wished the Latvian people to be determined and to stay focused on core domestic and foreign policy goals.
The head of the Lithuanian diplomacy wrote: “We remember our unity when striving for the freedom 23 years ago, and we should keep on working together, facing the challenges of present days.”
