On 25 October, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Ažubalis had a telephone conversation with his new counterpart Edgars Rinkēvičs and congratulated him on assuming office of the Latvian Foreign Minister.
The Ministers also discussed opportunities for deepening bilateral cooperation and cooperation in international organizations.A.Ažubalis invited the new Foreign Minister of Latvia to pay a visit to Lithuania.
Before his appointment as the Foreign Minister, Edgars Rinkēvičs, 38, worked as Head of the Office of the President of Latvia.
