LITHUANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER CONGRATULATES GEORGIA ON INDEPENDENCE DAY
On 26 May, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius extended congratulations to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Maia Panjikidze and the people of Georgia on the occasion of the national holiday – Independence Day.
Linkevičius wrote in his letter of congratulations: “Lithuanians and Georgians have always believed in the right to determine their destiny. Our shared aspiration for freedom and commitment to building democratic, modern states has never abated. Let us continue to build on the outstanding partnership between Lithuania and Georgia for the benefit of our states and our citizens.”
The National Council of Georgia declared the Act of State Independence of Georgia 95 years ago on 26 May 1918.
