Lithuanian Foreign Minister bids farewell to Germany’s outgoing Ambassador to Lithuania

On 12 June, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius bade farewell to the outgoing Ambassador of Germany to Lithuania Matthias Mülmenstädt.

L.Linkevičius thanked the Ambassador for his active effort to strengthen political, economic and cultural ties between Lithuania and Germany, as well as for Germany’s support to Lithuania during the country’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The participants of the meeting evaluated especially positively the intense cooperation between Lithuania and Germany at the time of crisis in Ukraine.

Germany is Lithuania’s second largest trading partner and the third largest investor in Lithuania.
