The head of the Lithuanian diplomacy welcomed good and intense bilateral relations and stressed the need to continue close cooperation on all levels also in the future.
The participants of the meeting also discussed the EU’s Eastern policy issues, the situation for Syria’s Christians and agreed to actively cooperate on dissemination of fundamental democratic values, promoting respect both for the intrinsic worth of human beings and for their rights in Europe and around the world.
Pedro López Quintana is the 5th representative of the Holy See in Lithuania. The Archbishop’s appointment to the Baltic States is the third one for him. He has also served in India and Canada.
