LITHUANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER AND MEMBERS OF THE U.S. TRADE MISSION CALL FOR STRONGER DIALOGUE WITH LITHUANIA

At the meeting with members the U.S. Trade Mission on 29 October in Vilnius, the Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius noted that a dialogue between the Lithuanian authorities and representatives of the U.S. companies would help to strengthen further economic cooperation and transatlantic partnership.

The visit of the U.S. Trade Mission to Lithuania on 28 and 29 October was co-organised by the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the American-Lithuanian Business Council that was launched in May 2013. The U.S. Embassy in Lithuania is a patron of the U.S. Trade Mission.

During the visit, representatives of American international companies held meetings with the country’s top officials: the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė, the Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Minister of Economy.

The participants of the U.S. Trade Mission, who already have experience of investing in Lithuania, will seek to further strengthen the economic relations and discuss opportunities for development in Lithuania.

The U.S. Trade Mission includes representatives of these companies: Computer Science Corporation, Lilly, Exelon Nuclear Partners, Philip Morris International, Strategic Staffing Solutions, and Western Union.
