LITHUANIAN EMBASSY IN TEL AVIVE THANKS ITS PARTNERS FOR ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL YEAR
On 19 December, Lithuanian Embassy in Tel Aviv held an event for its partners - Israeli business organizations, governmental institutions and media - who contributed to the development of economic relations and tourism promotion between the two countries.
In his welcome speech, Ambassador Darius Degutis thanked the guests for the successful cooperation in 2012. He noted that trade between the two countries increased by more than 50% and tourism flow from Israel to Lithuania increased by 60%. The Ambassador also said that direct flights from Tel Aviv to Vilnius were launched in 2012. Moreover, about 100 Israeli experts in life sciences attended the international forum “Life Sciences Baltics 2012”in Vilnius this September. Degutis also acquainted the guests with Lithuania’s upcoming Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2013 and with other scheduled events.
