LITHUANIAN BUSINESSMEN ARE THE MOST ACTIVE IN THE EU BUSINESS MISSION TO ISRAEL

An EU business mission of 55 industry associations and companies from 17 member states of the European Union is visiting Israel on 21-23 October. The mission is led by Antonio Tajani, Vice-President of the European Commission responsible for Industry and Entrepreneurship.

Lithuanian businessmen are the most active participants in the EU business mission – 14 Lithuanian companies representing IT, real estate, energy, cargo, food and other industries came to Israel to establish business contacts.

On 21 October, the Lithuanian Ambassador to Israel Darius Degutis and Commercial Attaché Kristina Biraitė met with the Lithuanian entrepreneurs. The meeting discussed business opportunities between Israel and Lithuania. D.Degutis noted that economic cooperation between Lithuania and Israel was a top priority for the Embassy. The Ambassador encouraged the Lithuanian companies to expand their cooperation with Israel and to more actively enter new and promising markets in South Africa and other African states.

On 22-23 October, the Lithuanian delegation will meet with the Israeli President Shimon Peres, ministers, leaders of Israel’s business organizations, and local businessmen.

The Lithuanian business delegation was organized by the Eastern Europe Partnership and Investment Association.
