LITHUANIAN AND UKRAINIAN POLITICAL DIRECTORS DISCUSS INTERNATIONAL AND REGIONAL COOPERATION
On 15 February in Kyiv, political director of Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vytautas Leškevičius and Director-General of the Directorate General for Security and Political Affairs of the Ukrainian Ministry for Foreign Affairs Vasyl Filipchuk discussed issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation and partnership in international organisations.
Important issues related to international situation and security, relations between the European Union and Ukraine, and current events were discussed at the meeting.Leškevičius also met with Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, who stressed that Ukraine highly appreciated Lithuania’s support and consultations on European issues and on cooperation with NATO.
The meeting with Director-General of the Directorate General for Euro-Atlantic Cooperation, Armaments Control and Military-Technical Cooperation Oleksandr Alesandrovych focused on NATO, international security and arms control.
