Lithuanian and U.S. officials discuss bilateral cooperation and Еastern neighbourhood issues
On 11 December, Lithuania’s Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrius Krivas met with Eric Rubin, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, who is visiting Lithuania. The officials discussed bilateral relations, cooperation with Eastern European countries and international security.
The officials highlighted the active development of the Lithuania-U.S. relations, the importance of cooperation between the United States and the European Union in shaping the EU’s Eastern Neighbourhood policy. They also discussed practical support for the Eastern Partnership countries.
During the visit, the U.S. official also met with Political Director of Lithuania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Rolandas Kačinskas, the Director of the Eastern Neighbourhood Policy Department Marius Janukonis and other representatives of Lithuanian authorities.
