LITHUANIAN AND TURKMEN MINISTERS OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS DISCUSSED DETAILS OF THE UPCOMING WORKING VISIT IN ASHKHABAD
On 26 November, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Petras Vaitiekūnas had a telephone conversation with vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.
The Ministers discussed details of the upcoming working visit of P. Vaitiekūnas to Turkmenistan on 10-12 December and the opportunity to organize the meetings of business representatives from Lithuania and Turkmenistan in Ashkhabad.
The Head of Lithuanian diplomacy is going to pay a visit to Turkmenistan at the invitation of R.Meredov. During the visit, the Minster is going to give a speech on the occasion of the opening of the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy in Ashkhabad. Bilateral meetings with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedow, Minister of Foreign Affairs R.Meredov, as well as other representatives of the Government of Turkmenistan are planned.
A delegation of Lithuanian businessmen plans to visit Turkmenistan together with the Minister.
