LITHUANIAN AMBASSADOR TO VISIT SINGAPORE

On 18-19 November, Lithuanian ambassador to South-Eastern Asia Ginutis Voveris visited Singapore.
During the meetings with high officials from Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign affairs and diplomats supervising relations with Europe, relationship between Lithuanian and Singapore, it’s development perspective and new opportunities for Lithuania as a member of the EU were discussed.
Also possible multilateral cooperation in the process of Asia-Europe Meeting was considered.
Discussions were held on issues related to the creation of the legal base for relationship between Lithuania and Singapore and possibility to organize high-level visits
Ginutis Voveris discussed with Managing director of Asia-Europe fund Mr. Cho Won-ilu the opportunities for Lithuania to cooperate with this fund.
In different meetings held during the visit, the Ambassador addressed such issues as participation in university student and lecturer exchange programs, cultural exchange and establishment of business missions and fostering trade relations between Lithuania and Singapore.
