Lithuanian Ambassador presents letters of credence to President of Mongolia
On 20 April, the Ambassador of Lithuania Ina Marčiulionytė, who resides in Beijing, presented her letters of credence to the President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj. After the solemn ceremony, the representatives of both countries had a conversation to discuss bilateral relations and prospects for their development.
In Ulaanbaatar, the Lithuanian Ambassador also met with the country’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Lundeg Purevsuren and other officials of the Foreign Ministry, the Minister of Food and Agriculture Radnaa Burmaa, the ASEM Senior Official at the Mongolian Ministry for Foreign Affairs Orgil Luvsantseren and the leadership of the National Museum of Mongolia.
The meetings focused on bilateral relations, cooperation within the framework of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) in the run-up to the ASEM Summit, other important international policy issues.
Lithuania and Mongolia established diplomatic relations on 11 December 1991.
