Lithuanian Ambassador presents her letters of credence to Chairman of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina
On 8 October, the Ambassador of Lithuania Rasa Kairienė presented her letters of credence to the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Čović.
The Ambassador and the Chairman had a conversation after the ceremony and discussed bilateral and multilateral cooperation. The Ambassador assured Čović that Lithuania supported Bosnia and Herzegovina’s efforts to integrate into the Euro-Atlantic community. She stressed that in order to achieve progress in the country’s EU integration process it was essential to continue to implement priority social and economic reforms. Kairienė also said that Lithuania was ready to strengthen cooperation between the countries’ authorities and to share the knowledge and experience that had been accumulated by its experts in various fields.
The Ambassador also met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives Borjana Krišto, President of the House of Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bariša Čolak, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Šarović.
Lithuania and Bosnia and Herzegovina established diplomatic relations in 1992.
