Lithuanian Ambassador presents her credential letters to President of Switzerland
On 25 August, the Ambassador of Lithuania Valentina Zeitler presented her credential letters to the President of Switzerland Simonetta Sommaruga. The meeting focused on important issues of cooperation between Lithuania and Switzerland. The officials discussed European migration problems in detail.
The President took interest in regional security and drew special attention to the situation in Ukraine, Lithuania’s relationship with Russia.
Sommaruga assured that the Swiss Confederation would continue to fully support Lithuania. According to the President, the planned official visit of President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė to Switzerland this October will further deepen and strengthen the existing bilateral cooperation.
