Lithuanian Ambassador presents credential letters to the President of Russia

On  May 28, Ambassador of Lithuania to Russia Remigijus Motuzas presented his credential letters to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

“The potential of our cooperation with Lithuania has not yet been fully tapped. When it comes to cooperation, we are ready to develop it in accordance with the principles of good-neighbourhood and mutual respect,” the Russian President said to Ambassador Motuzas.

President Putin has acknowledged that the same initiative from the Lithuanian side would also be desirable. Traditionally, the official ceremony took place in the Alexander Hall of the Kremlin Palace.

Remigijus Motuzas is the seventh Ambassador of Lithuania to Russia. Lithuania and Russia re-established their diplomatic relations on 9 October 1991.
