Lithuanian Ambassador presented his credential letters to the President of Ireland

Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to Ireland, Egidijus Meilūnas, presented his Letters of Credence to the President of Ireland, Michael Daniel Higgins, on 21 September 2017.

During a brief meeting after the ceremony, the President noted particularly good bilateral relations and the contribution of the Lithuanian community into the development of cooperation between Lithuania and Ireland.

Ambassador Meilūnas said that Lithuania and Ireland shared common values and partnership, which opened new prospects for further development and deepening of cooperation in various fields, first and foremost, in science, technologies, medicine, economy, and trade.

The Lithuanian Ambassador and the President of Ireland discussed, among other things, cooperation in the European Union.
