LITHUANIAN AMBASSADOR PRESENTED CREDENTIALS TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA

On 17 June, Lithuanian Ambassador to Macedonia Renatas Juška presented his credentials to the President of this country Gjorge Ivanov.During the conversation, the President and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations and the situation in the Western Balkan region.

G.Ivanov acquainted the Ambassador with the ongoing reforms aiming to join the EU and NATO, and stressed that Macedonia was interested in taking over Lithuania’s experience in Euro-Atlantic integration.

The Ambassador emphasized that the Government of Lithuania supported Macedonia’s aspirations for full integration into Euro-Atlantic institutions.

According to R.Juška, Lithuanian institutions are prepared to participate actively in joint projects of Macedonia’s integration into the EU and NATO, and, thus, to contribute practically to the implementation of the objectives of Macedonia, which is a country of the Vilnius Ten group.

R.Juška resides in Budapest. Diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Macedonia were established on 11 July 1995.
