LITHUANIAN AMBASSADOR PRESENTED CREDENTIALS TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF BULGARIA

On 25 October Lithuanian Ambassador Artūras Žurauskas presented credentials to the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Georgi Parvanov. During the meeting President Parvanov emphasized that Lithuanian-Bulgarian relations had intensified over the past several years, thanked for Lithuania’s support for Bulgaria during the process of its accession to the European Union. According to the President of Bulgaria, Lithuania is Bulgaria’s main trading partner in the Baltic States.

During the conversation President Parvanov and Ambassador A. Žurauskas welcomed cooperation between Lithuania and Bulgaria in various fields, emphasized good investment climate for Lithuania in Bulgaria.

Ambassador A. Žurauskas is the third Lithuanian Ambassador accredited to Bulgaria and residing in Athens.

Lithuania and Bulgaria established diplomatic relations on 10 September 1991.
