LITHUANIAN AMBASSADOR PRESENTED CREDENTIALS TO THE PRESIDENT OF MONTENEGRO
On 13 June in Podgorica, Lithuanian Ambassador to Montenegro Renatas Juška presented credentials to the country’s President Filip Vujanović.During the conversation with the Ambassador, the leader of Montenegro stressed the importance of the country’s integration into the EU and NATO for Montenegro, and of stability and development of the entire region.
R.Juška emphasized the support of the Government of Lithuania to Montenegro’s aspirations for European integration and noted that Lithuania’s experience could be very useful for Montenegro and that Lithuanian institutions were prepared to take an active part in joint projects of integration into the EU.The Ambassador invited F.Vujanović to watch the game of Montenegro’s basketball team at the European Men’s Basketball Championship, which will take place this autumn in Lithuania.
R.Juška resides in Budapest. He is Lithuania’s second Ambassador to Montenegro.
Diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Montenegro established on 18 July in 2006.
