LITHUANIAN AMBASSADOR PRESENTED CREDENTIALS TO THE PRESIDENT OF MOLDOVA

On 14 July Lithuanian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Moldova Vytautas Žalys presented credentials to the President of Moldova Vladimir Voronin.
Moldavian President thanked Lithuanian Government for assisting Moldova on its way of integration to the European structures. President Voronin asked for Lithuania’s support in negotiations with the European Commission on simplification of visa regime.
The Head of Moldovan State also expressed hope that soon Lithuanians will have an opportunity to appreciate the quality of the best Moldavian wines.
Vytautas Žalys is the first Lithuanian Ambassador residing in Moldova. Lithuanian Embassy in this country was opened on 3 January.
