LITHUANIAN AMBASSADOR PRESENTED CREDENTIALS TO THE PRESIDENT OF MALTA

On 27 April Lithuanian Ambassador to Italy Šarūnas Adomavičius presented credentials to the President of Malta Edward Fenech Adami.

Ambassador Adomavičius conveyed cordial greetings of the President of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus to the President of Malta and expressed Lithuania’s intention to strengthen further friendly bilateral relations.

During his visit to Malta Lithuanian Ambassador Adomavičius also met with the Prime Minister of Malta Lawrence Gonzi and the Chairman of the House of Representatives of Malta Anton Tabone. In the meetings possibilities to develop bilateral relations in investment promotion, trade, tourism and culture spheres were addressed.

Due to intensifying bilateral relations Foreign Minister of Malta Michael Frendo plans to visit Vilnius this year.
