Lithuania consistently supports North Macedonia's bid to join the European Union. The EU enlargement is a strategic investment in the security, stability, and resilience of Europe as a whole. It is therefore necessary to maintain the credibility and momentum of the enlargement process by supporting countries that implement the necessary reforms and adhere to European values. Lithuania is ready to continue actively sharing its integration experience and practical solutions that support the implementation of EU standards, institutional building, and resilience to external threats.
In 2023, a branch of the Lithuanian Embassy in Croatia began operating in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, headed by Ambassador-at-Large Vilma Dambrauskienė.
