LITHUANIA SEEKS TO DEVELOP PRAGMATIC RELATIONS WITH BELARUS
On 7 March the Undersecretary of Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Laimonas Talat-Kelpša discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and energy transit with Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Yeudachenka, who is currently visiting Vilnius.
The officials also exchanged opinions on the issues of visa regime, as the date of Lithuania’s accession to the Schengen zone is approaching.
“Lithuania is interested in the development of pragmatic relations with Belarus, which could help us solve the bilateral issues and develop a dialogue between the European Union and Belarus. We welcome every step of Belarus in this direction,” noted the Undersecretary of the Ministry L.Talat-Kelpša during the meeting.
